Path of Exile is One of the Best F2P Games Out!

One of the best F2P games out there and one of the best A-RPG games. Overall scope and gameplay is better than Diablo 3 in my opinion. No reason to not try it out and have some free fun. The story is interesting and epic. The custom build systems for character classes and gear are vast. New end-game content added with each League release. However, there are some flaws you should be aware of before starting the grind and expecting a lot of replayability. The interested gamers can poe orbs buy from those professional online gaming houses in the most affordable cost.

Cosmetics are the main cash shop features!

The gear in the core game looks pretty pathetic. Stats on gear are for the most part RNG so even at level 50 you will mostly look like a mish mash of gear pieces. For example, one of the best leveling chest pieces looks like an oversized t-shirt that you wore as pj's when you were 6 years old. If you want to look good and powerful with some consistent theme, you will likely have to buy a skin. FYI expect to pay $30 to $40 for a complete cosmetic skin set (which is not really a 'MICRO'-transaction). There is no way to earn cosmetics in game and there's no in game transmog feature.

I wish the Devs would take some ideas form Warframe's F2P business model and offer more in game options to get decent cosmetic sets or a transmog system NOT behind a paywall, unlocking convenience systems with game progression, an RNG loot system that actually shows you where to find specific loot and the drop chances instead of blind RNG.

If you like the game and want to support the devs, go ahead and get something from the cash shop. Nothing wrong with that. I just wish there was more to earn in game to bring me back to replay the grind with each league. I would like to see more direct control over gear building instead of re-rolling RNG grinding. I wish there was more lore based gear drop findings, like grinding areas and levels for specific gear set pieces. More transparency for the RNG loot systems and stat building would be nice too.
